Have you ever wondered what goes on in the criminal justice system that keeps all of us on the Central Coast safe? Our October speaker will be the current District Attorney for SLO County, and will be sharing some of the top crime issues now facing our precious SLO County.
Born and raised on the east coast, Daniel L. Dow, and his wife of 24 years, Wendy, are currently raising their two young children on the Central Coast. He recently served as our Deputy District Attorney, where his focus was on prosecuting domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse crimes. Dan was elected as our District Attorney by a wide margin in the 2014 election and took office in January 2015.
Dan is proud to have played a vital role in bringing the Veterans Treatment Court to SLO County, launched in 2013. This court seeks to address the growing number of veterans entering the criminal justice system as a result of traumatic experiences they endured while in the military, something he observed first hand while working his way through the ranks in the U.S. Army.
Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 19th when the District Attorney for SLO County will be sharing:
