Let's free ourselves from the clothes and accessories we no longer wear and give them a new life with someone else at a Clothing Swap Party!
Date: Sunday, September 19 from 1-4pm.
Location: Sea Crest Hotel in Pismo, North Towers Conference Room on the Ground Floor
TIPS TO GET READY:
Do a self-guided closet assessment of clothes you no longer need, want, wear.
Questions to ask yourself: Does it no longer fit? Was it an impulse buy that you do not wear? Is the color, print, style unbecoming? Does it just not work with your lifestyle and/or persona?
Then, check your wearable items for what you might need or want to make some new looking outfits.
You are welcome to bring a piece or two for which you want to find the perfect mate.
TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CLOTHING SWAP:
Please bring all the clothes on hangers, except jeans, shoes, handbags, scarves, and accessories.
Items should be in good, wearable condition without stains or rips. They should be relatively wrinkle free.
If you have clothes with problems, you can bring a bag of those as donations also. Rips can sometimes be repaired.
All clothes that are not chosen will be donated to a charity, unless you prefer to keep them.
Charity or charities are to be determined from a local group serving women in need.
Racks for clothes on hangers will be provided. Tables will be available for jeans and accessories.
