Luncheon Presentation:
The Zen of Wabi Sabi Jewelry
In a culture obsessed with polish and perfection, Helen Andersen crafts her jewelry from a different devotion.
Rooted in Japanese philosophy, Wabi Sabi, Helen’s jewelry, honors the beauty of impermanence and asymmetry utilizing the dignity of natural material and vintage beads that have been shaped by time.
Wabi Sabi reminds us that what is irregular, weathered, and softened is not flawed, but real and resilient. Her jewelry echoes the ethos of regenerative success, valuing depth over display. Process over performance, and integrity over image.
Join us as she shares meaningful production, presence, and sustainable adornment.
We are honored to have Helen present her collection of beautiful pieces to the SLO Women’s Network.
Helen Andersen was born in Washington DC, and raised in California. Her life has been full creativity and expression, working with ancient gemstones to create one of kind jewelry pieces for over 50 years as well as being a dancer. Her vibrancy and colorful character shines through in all that she does.
