A Mindful Journey to Calm the Nervous System

Join us for a nourishing evening designed to gently ease anxiety, quiet the mind, and restore a sense of inner calm and safety.

We will begin with a simple, accessible mindfulness practice focused on calming the nervous system and bringing awareness back into the present moment. This will be followed by a guided vocal sound practice to support vagal nerve activation, helping the body shift out of stress and into rest-and-restore. These are supportive practices you can carry with you, using them daily or whenever anxiety begins to surface.

From there, you’ll be invited to lie back and receive a deeply relaxing Sound Journey, where waves of healing sound and vibration guide you into a state of rest, regulation, and renewal. The soundscape may include singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, and other intentional instruments, creating a safe container for release and relaxation.

This experience is supportive for anyone feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or simply in need of a pause. No prior experience with mindfulness or vocalization is needed — all practices are gentle, optional, and guided with care.

Come as you are. Leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and more at home in your body.

Be sure to register in advance!

  • January 23, 2026 7:00 PM | Theresa Layne

     THIS IS YOUR NIGHT!!!

On January 23rd at Libertine in downtown SLO, something pretty damn historic is happening…

Hot Tina - the only all-female band in the Five Cities
    meets
Babes Against the Machine - the only all-female Rage Against the Machine tribute

    Two all-women bands.
    One stage.
    Zero compromise.

This isn’t just a show - it’s a full-volume celebration of women who take up space, make noise, and refuse to be background music.

SLOWN member Theresa Layne will be on stage behind the drums with Hot Tina, bringing her signature fire and fearless energy to kick off the night before Babes Against the Machine takes over with Rage’s legendary sound, re-claimed through women’s voices and bodies.

If you’ve ever wanted to stand in a room full of women who are bold, loud, talented, and unafraid to be seen, this is your night.

It’s a ticketed show and it will sell out.
    Libertine Brewing Company, SLO
    January 23

    Come support women in music.
    Come feel powerful.
Come be part of something that doesn’t happen often around here.

We can’t wait to rage with you.
